Presentation Mode Documentation

The Presentation Mode is a powerful feature designed for comparing multiple financial scenarios side-by-side. It allows advisers to visually demonstrate the impact of different financial decisions and strategies to their clients, making it an essential tool for client meetings and reviews.

This mode is accessible via a unique URL that includes the IDs of the scenarios to be compared. It can be entered by selecting scenarios from the main "Scenarios" page and choosing to open them in presentation mode.

Key Features

  • Scenario Comparison: View up to three scenarios simultaneously in an overlay mode, with each scenario's Net Wealth projection plotted on the same chart.
  • Interactive Sidebar: Easily switch between viewing a single scenario's detailed tabs and the multi-scenario overlay view.
  • Key Metrics Dashboard: A dedicated component that provides a high-level summary and comparison of the key outcomes for each scenario.

Comparing Scenarios (Overlay Mode)

By toggling on the "Overlay Mode" in the sidebar, you can activate the comparison view.

  • Net Wealth Chart: The main chart will display the Net Wealth projections for all selected scenarios, each with a distinct color, allowing for easy visual comparison of how different strategies perform over time.
  • Key Metrics: The bottom section of the screen will display the KeyMetrics component, providing a detailed numerical comparison of the scenarios.

Key Metrics Component

This component provides a dashboard of crucial financial indicators for each scenario, allowing for a quick and effective comparison.

Metrics Displayed:

  • Success Rate: The percentage of simulations where the client does not run out of money (or meets their desired estate value). This is the primary indicator of a plan's viability.
  • Wealth Progression:
    • Current Net Wealth: The starting point.
    • In 10 Years: The projected net wealth in 10 years, with the percentage growth from the current value.
    • At Retirement: The projected net wealth at the client's retirement age, with the total growth percentage.
    • Peak: The highest projected net wealth achieved during the plan.
    • Final: The projected net wealth at the end of the plan.
  • Retirement Assets: A breakdown of the client's assets at retirement age, showing the split between:
    • Savings Fund
    • KiwiSaver
    • Investments
  • Goals Achievement: A summary of which of the client's defined financial goals are achievable within each scenario without dropping the success rate below the set threshold.

By using the Presentation Mode and the Key Metrics dashboard, advisers can effectively communicate the trade-offs and benefits of different financial strategies, helping clients make informed decisions about their future.
