Terms and Conditions

Wealthie offers Users and Financial Advisers access and use of the Wealthie Platform on these Terms. By registering your details with Wealthie you are agreeing to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, and entering into a legally binding agreement with us.
1. The Wealthie Platform
1.1 Description of the Wealthie Platform
The Wealthie Platform is an online financial modelling platform which enables Financial Advisers to build comprehensive financial scenarios and projections for Users to provide Users with financial modelling and advice. As well as this, Users may also model their own finances using the Wealthie Platform.
The Wealthie Platform includes:
- Comprehensive retirement planning and scenario modelling tools
- Monte Carlo simulation capabilities with up to 10,000 iterations
- Multi-fund investment portfolio analysis and management
- KiwiSaver integration and optimization tools
- Property investment modelling and equity analysis
- Goals-based financial planning with success rate analysis
- What-if scenario analysis for life events
- Advanced data visualization and reporting capabilities
1.2 Wealthie is not a Financial Adviser
Wealthie is not a Financial Adviser, and:
- does not provide any advice or recommendations about Users' financial positions made by Financial Advisers;
- does not verify information provided to Users by any Financial Adviser;
- is not authorised to make any representations or endorsements about or for any Financial Adviser;
- is not responsible for any representations, content, advice or act or omission of any Financial Adviser.
1.3 Financial Adviser Terms
In addition to these Terms, Financial Adviser Terms will also apply to any service provided to Users by their Financial Advisers. Users acknowledge that they have read, understand and accept any relevant Financial Adviser Terms that apply to the User.
2. Registration and Eligibility
2.1 Creating an Account
If you wish to access and use the Wealthie Platform you can do so by creating an Account and completing the related registration requirements.
2.2 Eligibility Requirements
You may only create an Account if you:
- are at least 18 years old;
- provide accurate, complete and truthful information, and complete the details requested under the Account creation process;
- provide a valid email address and password;
- subject to the provisions contained in our Privacy Policy, consent to us contacting you about your Account (including to verify the details you have provided to us in your Account) or the Wealthie Platform; and
- keep information relating to your Account up to date (including but not limited to your contact details).
2.3 Your Account Security
It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality and security of any information that may be used to access your Account, including your password.
Importantly, you agree that you will:
- not share your password, login information or other security related information with any other person that may allow them to access your Account;
- not permit any other person to use or access your Account or login information;
- notify us if there has been, or you suspect there will be, any unauthorised use of your Account; and
- only create one Account, and will not register as a User under multiple personas (whether false or not).
2.4 Subscription Fees and Payments
At the time you create an Account, you may be required to pay a Subscription Fee to access certain features of the Wealthie Platform. If you are offered a free trial period for the Wealthie Platform, you will be advised when the trial period expires and your access to premium features after that date may require payment of the Subscription Fee.
Where you choose to subscribe for ongoing access to premium features of the Wealthie Platform, you will be asked to provide payment details in order for us to collect your Subscription Fee payments which are payable monthly in advance. You acknowledge and agree that if your payment method changes, you must update the details from your account settings.
You acknowledge that we may change the amount of the Subscription Fee at any time by notifying you in accordance with clause 8.3 of these Terms. If you do not accept the amended Subscription Fee, you may close your Account by notifying us in accordance with clause 4.1.
3. Use Rules
3.1 Your Obligations
When you access and use the Wealthie Platform, you agree that you will:
- comply at all times with these Terms and with New Zealand law;
- not infringe on the rights of any person or entity, including without limitation Intellectual Property Rights, privacy, confidentiality and/or contractual rights through your use or input of any information, content or data;
- not interfere with or attempt to impair our computer systems and their integrity or security or transmit software viruses, worms, other harmful files or other malware;
- not use a robot, spider, scraper or other unauthorised automated means to access the Wealthie Platform or any content shown on the Wealthie Platform;
- not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Wealthie Platform, including attempting to gain access to an Account other than yours;
- use the Wealthie Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms;
- not use the Wealthie Platform for any unlawful purpose or to solicit unlawful activity;
- not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or exploit any portion of the Wealthie Platform without our prior written permission;
- not use the Wealthie Platform to transmit any harmful, offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content;
- not impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- not abuse API rate limits or engage in excessive automated requests that may impact system performance;
- not engage in any malicious or concerning activities that may harm the platform or other users.
3.2 Competitor and Commercial Use Restrictions
You agree that you will not:
- Competitive Analysis: Use the Wealthie Platform to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or methodologies used in the platform;
- Benchmarking Restrictions: Use aggregated data, analytics, or insights from the Wealthie Platform for competitive analysis, benchmarking against competing products, or developing competing financial modelling tools;
- Reseller Restrictions: Resell, sublicense, distribute, or provide white label access to the Wealthie Platform without our express written permission;
- Data Mining: Extract, harvest, or systematically collect data from the platform for use in competing products or services;
- Competitive Intelligence: Use the platform to gather intelligence about our business model, pricing strategies, or operational methods for competitive purposes.
If you are a competitor or work for a competing financial services technology company, you must disclose this relationship before creating an Account and may be restricted from accessing certain features of the platform.
4. Terminating Your Account
4.1 Termination by You
You may at any time, for any reason, close your Account from your account settings or by contacting us directly. We cannot cancel your account on your behalf without proper verification. You will not be charged any further Subscription Fees from the date on which we receive your request. You may specify the effective date on which you wish your Account to be closed, which must be no later than the date on which the next Subscription Fee payment for your use of the Wealthie Platform would become due, and you acknowledge you will not be entitled to a refund or reimbursement of any unused portion of your monthly Subscription Fee. Once your Account is closed, you will no longer be able to access or use the Wealthie Platform.
4.2 Termination, Suspension or Modification by Us
We may refuse to create an Account for you, close your Account, or terminate, suspend or modify your access to the Wealthie Platform without giving any prior notice to you in the following circumstances:
- we receive a serious complaint or multiple complaints about you from any Financial Adviser, User or any other person;
- you breach these Terms;
- you impersonate another person or provide any false information when creating an Account;
- we consider any conduct by you puts the Wealthie Platform or any person at risk;
- we, in our reasonable opinion, deem your behaviour or use of the Wealthie Platform to be unacceptable;
- we, in our sole discretion, consider that your usage of the Wealthie Platform is excessive or abnormal, including where such usage exceeds what we consider to be normal usage patterns or is inconsistent with usage patterns or applications on which we have based our subscription pricing; and/or
- your conduct may, in our reasonable opinion, bring Wealthie or any Financial Adviser or User into disrepute or adversely affect either Wealthie's or any Financial Adviser's or User's reputation or image;
- you abuse API rate limits, engage in excessive automated requests, or use the platform in a manner that impacts system performance or availability for other users;
- you engage in malicious activities, show concerning intent, or attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the Wealthie Platform;
- you violate the competitor and commercial use restrictions outlined in clause 3.2;
- you attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary information from the platform.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Intellectual Property Owned by Us
Wealthie (and/or its suppliers and licensors) own all Intellectual Property Rights in and to the Wealthie Platform and the software and other material underlying and forming part of the Wealthie Platform.
Unless you obtain our prior written approval, you must not use, adapt, reproduce, copy, store, distribute, publish, broadcast, display or create derivative works from any part of the Wealthie Platform.
5.2 Your Licence for Use of the Wealthie Platform
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Wealthie Platform only as required for your personal or business purposes (as applicable) and as expressly permitted in these Terms.
We reserve all right, title and interest not expressly granted under this licence to the fullest extent possible under applicable laws.
6. Service Limits, Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
6.1 No Agency
Wealthie provides an online platform for Financial Advisers and Users, and except as expressly provided for under these Terms, Wealthie is not acting as an agent for any party. A Financial Adviser is an independent operator and is not an employee, contractor or agent for Wealthie.
6.2 No Responsibility or Liability for Conduct of Users or Financial Advisers
Wealthie is not a Financial Adviser or financial professional. Any information that Users rely on, or transactions Users enter into using the Wealthie Platform are entirely at Users' own risk. Users are solely responsible for the actions they take in reliance on the information available on or accessed through the Wealthie Platform.
Wealthie has no responsibility and liability for:
- any representations, information, recommendations or advice provided by any Financial Adviser;
- any acts, omissions, negligence, misconduct, or breach of any duty or law by any Financial Adviser;
- any qualifications, skills, experience, or licences required by any Financial Adviser;
- the accuracy, reliability, completeness and correctness of any information (including any data, images, opinions, advice, representations and descriptions about the Wealthie Platform or any Financial Adviser) displayed, stored, described or contained on the Wealthie Platform or provided during the course of using the Wealthie Platform;
- any personal injuries, property damage or any other damages or expenses resulting from: (i) Users' or Financial Advisers' use of the Wealthie Platform; or (ii) any act, omission or advice of a User or a Financial Adviser;
- any product or service that is provided or recommended to Users by a Financial Adviser.
6.3 No Endorsement or Verification of Financial Advisers
Wealthie does not:
- endorse any information or advice provided by any Financial Adviser, including information contained on the Wealthie Platform and/or provided in the course of using the Wealthie Platform; or
- verify the identity of, or conduct any background or reference checks on any Financial Adviser.
6.4 Financial Advice and Calculation Disclaimer
Important: Wealthie provides financial modelling tools and calculators for informational purposes only. The Wealthie Platform does not constitute financial advice, and results should not be relied upon as the sole basis for financial decisions.
- All projections and calculations are estimates based on assumptions and historical data;
- Past performance does not guarantee future results;
- Users should consult with qualified financial advisers before making investment decisions;
- Market conditions and personal circumstances can significantly impact actual outcomes;
- The Wealthie Platform relies on data and assumptions provided by users;
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of third-party data sources or market data;
- Wealthie is not liable for any incorrect calculations created by the Wealthie Platform or any misuse of the tool by Users or Financial Advisers;
- Users acknowledge that financial modelling involves complex calculations and that errors may occur due to user input, system limitations, or other factors beyond Wealthie's control;
- It is the responsibility of Users and Financial Advisers to verify all calculations and projections before making any financial decisions.
6.5 No Warranties
The Wealthie Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted at law, Wealthie disclaims and excludes all implied conditions or warranties as to the Wealthie Platform. Without limiting the foregoing Wealthie does not:
- make any warranties regarding the quality or standard or the abilities, skill or experience of any Financial Adviser;
- warrant that the Wealthie Platform will meet your specific requirements;
- warrant that the Wealthie Platform will be compatible with your equipment;
- warrant that the Wealthie Platform will be free from errors, loss, destruction, interruption, corruption (including corruption of data), or that the Wealthie Platform will be timely or secure;
- warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any financial projections, calculations, or modelling results;
- warrant that the Wealthie Platform will be available at all times or that access will be uninterrupted.
6.6 Limitation of Liability for Your Use of the Wealthie Platform
Except as required by law, Wealthie will not be liable or responsible for any damages arising from the use of (or inability to use) the Wealthie Platform, including any loss, costs or damages arising from any:
- corruption or loss of data or other information;
- malware that may be transmitted to your computer by use of the Wealthie Platform;
- interruption, suspension or discontinuance of the Wealthie Platform;
- financial decisions made based on information or projections from the Wealthie Platform;
- inaccurate calculations, projections, or modelling results;
- reliance on third-party data or market information.
6.7 Maximum Liability
To the maximum extent allowed under law, this limitation of liability applies to damages of any kind, including direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, loss of income, profit, data, property and claims by third parties.
Unless you are a "consumer" for the purposes of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, notwithstanding any other provision contained in these Terms, Wealthie's aggregate liability to you, whether for negligence, breach of contract, misrepresentation or otherwise shall in no circumstances exceed NZD$100.
6.8 Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude Wealthie's liability or Users' rights if Users are a "consumer" for the purposes of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
To the extent that you acquire and/or use the Wealthie Platform in trade (which includes for the avoidance of doubt Financial Advisers and any other adviser, organisation or entity who acquires or uses the Wealthie Platform for business purposes), you and Wealthie both confirm, acknowledge and agree that:
- you and Wealthie are each "in trade";
- the Wealthie Platform is supplied to you and acquired by you in trade and for a business purpose; and
- the statutory guarantees and implied terms, covenants and conditions contained in the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 are excluded from these Terms to the fullest extent permitted at law.
7. Security and Privacy
Subject to clause 6.5, Wealthie will maintain reasonable safeguards against the destruction, loss, alteration or unauthorised access of Users' data and information in accordance with law.
These Terms are subject to our Privacy Policy, which governs our use of Users' information. By using the Wealthie Platform, Users agree and consent to the collection, use, storage, disclosure and distribution of personal information and data in accordance with the terms of our Privacy Policy.
7.1 Multi-Factor Authentication Requirement
If you do not use multi-factor authentication for ALL of your organisation members who have access to the Wealthie Platform, Wealthie is not liable for any data breach that is isolated to your organisation's data. You acknowledge that multi-factor authentication is a critical security measure and that failure to implement it across your entire organisation significantly increases security risks.
7.2 Data Breach Liability Limitations
In the event of a data breach affecting the Wealthie Platform, if your organisation's data is not compromised, leaked, or accessed without authorisation, you acknowledge that you have suffered no damages and agree that you cannot bring any claim, action, or lawsuit against Wealthie in relation to such data breach.
7.3 Third-Party Data Breach Liability
Wealthie is not liable for any data breach that occurs through third-party services, providers, or integrations that we use to deliver the Wealthie Platform. This includes but is not limited to breaches affecting cloud hosting providers, payment processors, email services, or other external services. You acknowledge that the use of third-party services involves inherent risks and that Wealthie cannot guarantee the security practices of external providers.
8. Platform Management and Changes
8.1 Feature Deprecation and Modification Rights
We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features from the Wealthie Platform at any time and for any reason. This includes but is not limited to:
- Adding new features, tools, or capabilities to the platform;
- Modifying existing features to improve functionality or user experience;
- Removing features that are no longer viable, secure, or aligned with our business strategy;
- Discontinuing support for certain data formats, integrations, or third-party services;
- Changing user interface elements, workflows, or navigation structures.
We will provide reasonable notice of significant feature changes or removals where practicable, but you acknowledge that some changes may be implemented immediately for security, legal, or operational reasons.
8.2 Platform Migration and Upgrades
We reserve the right to migrate the Wealthie Platform to new infrastructure, upgrade underlying technologies, or implement new versions at any time without prior notice. You acknowledge and agree that:
- Platform migrations may result in temporary service interruptions;
- We are not obligated to maintain compatibility with older versions of the platform;
- We may require you to update your access methods, integrations, or workflows following platform changes;
- We are not liable for any inconvenience, data migration issues, or business disruption resulting from platform upgrades or migrations.
8.3 Legacy System Support Limitations
We are not obligated to maintain, support, or provide access to legacy versions of the Wealthie Platform. Once a new version is released, we may discontinue support for previous versions immediately. You acknowledge that:
- Continued use of the platform may require adapting to new versions and features;
- We will not provide technical support for deprecated or legacy platform versions;
- Security updates and bug fixes will only be applied to current platform versions;
- Data export capabilities may be limited for legacy versions.
9. General Terms
9.1 Force Majeure
Wealthie has no liability to you for any lack of performance, unavailability or failure of the Wealthie Platform, or failure to comply with these Terms where the same arises from any cause reasonably beyond the control of Wealthie.
9.2 Notification of Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version on our Website and/or on the Wealthie Platform. We will endeavour to provide you with reasonable notice of any changes by push notification, email, or by posting a notice on our Website and/or the Wealthie Platform. If you continue to use the Wealthie Platform following the effective date of any amendments, you will be deemed to have accepted the amendments. If you do not accept the amendments, you will not be penalised but you must stop using the Wealthie Platform and close your Account.
9.3 Notices and Electronic Communications
We may provide you with notices, including notices relating to these Terms by way of electronic communications, including by email or other electronic communication on the Website and/or the Wealthie Platform.
9.4 No Waiver
If we do not exercise or enforce any rights available to us under these Terms that does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
9.5 No Assignment
You may not assign, transfer and/or subcontract any of your rights under these Terms.
9.6 Severability
If any provision contained in these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by any judicial or other competent authority, all other provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect and will not in any way be impaired.
9.7 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by New Zealand law, and you agree that the courts of New Zealand shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute which may arise out of or in connection with these Terms.
9.8 Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Wealthie and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Wealthie Platform or violation of these Terms.

10. Definitions
In these Terms, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:
- Account means an account created in accordance with the requirements of the Website and/or the Wealthie Platform by a User or a Financial Adviser.
- Financial Adviser means a financial adviser who is a user of the Wealthie Platform.
- Financial Adviser's Terms means the terms and conditions and any policies that a Financial Adviser has in place in relation to any products or services it provides to Users. The Financial Adviser's Terms form a contract between the User and the Financial Adviser, and are separate from and in addition to these Terms.
- Intellectual Property Rights means any current and future intellectual property rights whether registered or unregistered, including copyrights, design rights, trade marks, trade names, domain names, rights in logos and get-up, patents, inventions, confidential information and know-how, all rights in computer software, privacy, data and databases.
- Privacy Policy means our Privacy Policy available on the Website and/or the Wealthie Platform, as may be amended from time to time.
- Subscription Fee means the amount payable for you to access and use premium features of the Wealthie Platform and which is specified in your account subscription settings.
- Terms means these terms and conditions, and includes any amendments made in accordance with these terms and conditions.
- User means a person or other entity who is a user of the Wealthie Platform and who is not a Financial Adviser.
- Wealthie, us, we, or our means Wealthie Limited.
- Wealthie Platform means any tools, software, applications, or other services available to Users and Financial Advisers via the Website, including all financial modelling, calculation, and analysis tools.
- Website means any Wealthie website including https://wealthie.co.nz/ and any other website, internet property or application (including any applications for mobile devices) that are owned or operated by Wealthie.
- You and your is a reference to any User or Financial Adviser, as applicable.
