Akahu

Connecting your financial accounts

Wealthie integrates with Akahu, New Zealand's open finance platform, to retrieve account and balance information from the financial accounts you choose to connect.

Why connect your accounts?

Connecting your accounts lets Wealthie show your real, up-to-date balances automatically - so your financial plan and projections always reflect your true position, without manual data entry.

What access does Wealthie request?

Wealthie requests read-only access to the bank accounts and KiwiSaver accounts you select, to retrieve balances and account details. Wealthie cannot initiate payments, transfers, or any financial transactions. Access is ongoing until you disconnect it.

You enter your bank credentials securely with Akahu - not with Wealthie. Wealthie never sees or stores your bank login details.

About Akahu

Akahu is New Zealand's open finance platform. Wealthie uses Akahu to securely fetch account and balance data from the financial accounts you connect. When you connect an account, you authorise access directly through Akahu's own secure flow. Akahu processes your data under its own privacy policy - see akahu.nz.

Disconnecting your accounts

You can disconnect any connected account at any time from your Wealthie portal settings, or directly via Akahu at my.akahu.nz.

Disconnecting deletes the associated account data held by Wealthie and revokes the access token. When you close your Wealthie account, all connected accounts are disconnected and all associated data is deleted.

For more detail see our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, or contact us at info@wealthie.co.nz.
